Lumenis One is a true fourth generation intense pulsed light system with patented state of the art technology which optimizes power, pulsing and light delivery to provide maximum results, comfort and safety. This non invasive laser treatment helps to correct a variety of benign skin conditions such as, freckles, sun spots, age spots, brown pigment, birth marks and unsightly small veins. Red blemishes including broken blood vessels can also respond to IPL which is changed to heat energy in the skin resulting in photothermolysis of target chromophores. IPL also reaches the level of the deeper collagen beneath the skin’s surface to improve texture and fine lines. There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. The sapphire chill tip, which provides pre- and post-cooling of the treatment area protects the skin and minimize the need for topical anesthetic.

ND-YAG laser treatment emits two different wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, each targeted different skin conditions/problems. The 532nm wavelength is targeted to treating broken capillaries, rosacea, freckles, port wine stains, seborrhoiec keratosis, skin tags, sunspots and pigmentation. The 1064nm wavelength is targeted to treating spider leg veins, deeper facial veins, venous lakes, and for laser hair removal. The laser wavelength is highly attracted to a particular target, but not attracted to the surrounding normal skin, and is therefore very specific in its treatment.
